ALS, 1803 October 15 : Newport, [R.I.], to [Mrs.] William Stedman, Lancaster, Massachusetts.

While addressed to William Stedman, the letter begins "Dear Almy," and was intended for Stedman's wife, who was Ellery's daughter. Ellery gives his daughter advice concerning her health, outlook, exercise, child-rearing, etc., and discusses his Fatherhood at some length.
